The better ground saw a much more encouraging performance from Morning Gloria and Exeter today, she raced up with the pace and despite a couple of novicey jumps seemed to enjoy herself much better than she did on her racecourse debut. The main objective was achieved as she finished the race, which will go towards getting her initial handicap mark.
Here is what her trainer Kayley Woollacott said after the race...
"Back in one piece and enjoyed this experience much more 👌🏼 Ben reported she was up for it today, a little novicey over a few of the hurdles but enjoyed the sounder surface, thought she had to go with the runaway when it passed her and so pulled a little too hard at times and then got a little tired turning for home and Ben was very easy on her and coasted home to ensure we got the aim done. She’s finished much happier this time and it’s good news she was happy on good ground as we don’t need to worry about the heavy ground going."
